Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Position Summary
Position is responsible for raw material receiving, short weight processing, process order reconciliation, and production reporting. Additional functions include weekly, monthly, annual reporting, inventory audits, accurate record keeping, and other accounting duties as assigned. Reports to Accounting Manager
Responsibilities
1 – 2 years clerical accounting experience preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and written.
Must be able to prepare a variety of reports and analyses.
Knowledge of SAP (preferred) or comparable ERP system, Excel, and Microsoft.
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment.
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
Must have good inter-personal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Willing to work some weekends.
Educational Requirements
Two Year Business Degree or similar. Experience in poultry industry can substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities
- Daily receipts of raw material purchase orders in SAP. Accurate reporting of, chargebacks at time of receipt, and communication to suppliers of.
- Perform payroll and timekeeping task.
- Reconcile production orders for the previous day. Utilizes the marination batch records to complete this process.
- Generates and distributes daily, weekly, and monthly production reports including yield, efficiency, and downtime data.
- Tracks process loss and condemned information. Communicates information to plant management.
- This position requires sound, ethical judgment on production operations, ingredient lists, batch records, process order variances, inventories, efficiency, etc.
- Team member must be able to work in a cooperative manner with other hourly and supervisory/managerial team members.
- Must maintain confidentiality concerning all company related processes and matters.
- Other Responsibilities as assigned by their manager.
