Full Range: $52,251 - $73,151 Annually
Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
This position assists the Program Manager with planning, coordinating, and monitoring program activities. This position completes administrative and operational activities associated with highly specialized programs within Pima County Behavioral Health, including court case tracking and contractor invoice processing. This position also acts as liaison justice entities including the Pima County Adult Probation Department.
Duties/Responsibilities

- Provides the Program Manager with administrative support to include work on special projects of varying scales;
- Reviews, analyzes and monitors third-party contracts, including program objectives, grant compliance and financial records;
- Participates in the development of community re-entry plans, while addressing risk factors associated with recidivism;
- Maintains a court case tracking system to include any jurisdiction that participants have active criminal cases;
- Assists the Program Manager to develop compliance goals, objectives, policies, and procedures and establish short- and long-term compliance plans for the program;
- Coordinates program activities and maintains effective working relationships with other County departments, public and private agencies, organizations, and groups;
- Researches and confirms that purchases for participants and program are following County and grant funding guidelines;
- Provides program management and oversight if the Program Manager is absent for any reason;
- Acts as primary program liaison for County support departments;
- Any other duties may be assigned as they relate to the expansion of the program and its specialized program development.
Minimum Qualifications
(1) A high-school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of experience providing administrative support for a department or program and working with grant-funded programs.

- Experience with providing tutoring or mentoring.
- Experience providing programmatic or risk assessments.
- Experience with/knowledge of purchasing or inventory management.
- Experience working with or assisting others navigate behavioral health systems.
- Experience with/knowledge of maintaining and building filing systems.
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum/desired qualifications. Candidates meeting the minimum/desired qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.
Supplemental Information
Licenses and Certificates: Valid driver license is required at time of application. Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant’s suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment resulting from this recruitment is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of the candidate’s driving record. Some positions require current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), issued by the American Red Cross or a comparable agency at the time of appointment and must be maintained as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination. Certification from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (i.e., CCHP) or the ability to attain certification within 1 year of hire.
Special Notice Items: Some positions may require satisfactory completion of a personal background investigation by the court or law enforcement agencies, due to the need for access to County Attorney and Court facilities, records, and communication systems. The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment with the County.
Physical/Sensory Requirements: Physical and sensory abilities will be determined by position. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
