What are the responsibilities and job description for the ONLINE RADIOGRAPHY BRIDGE CLINICAL DIRECTOR position at Pima Medical Institute?
Essential Functions
- Secure new clinical sites and maintain all contractual agreements and maintain existing relationships with clinical sites across the United States.
- Coordinate the tracking and verification of all program clinical affiliation contracts. Ensure contracts with clinical sites are current, accurate, viable and adequate in meeting program needs.
- Ensure preceptor qualifications meet the minimum programmatic requirements.
- Assist the Program Director with the review of qualifying documents to determine eligibility to enroll into the program. Conduct an interview with each applicant prior to the program start, and participate in programmatic orientation.
- Review student success rates by cohort with the Program Director, and implement plan to enhance student retention and success.
- Communicate regularly with students to encourage them to be successful during their clinical rotation. Audit student competency evaluations and clinical records and monitor student radiation exposure.
- Create and coordinate student clinical rotation schedule. Develop clinical objectives and evaluations.
- Evaluate the performance of students regarding clinical course objectives and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
- Communicate with clinical instructors and students to ensure clinical education is effective.
- Perform the duties of an online radiography instructor by teaching a minimum of three (3) credits each term.
- Assist with community outreach to develop program awareness.
- Assist the Program Director with the preparation of regular reports for accrediting bodies and professional organizations as needed.
- Master’s degree.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- Must hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiologic Sciences, or equivalent (i.e., unrestricted state license for the state in which the program is located), and teaching licenses, certifications or other designations as required by local, state or federal laws to work in the field.
- Three (3) years full-time clinical experience as a registered radiologic technologist.
- One (1) year of documented experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.
- Proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and academic advising.
- Experience with online instruction preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer skills.
- Hiring range $78,030-$97,535 annual salary
