Partner Associate Veterinarian at Pine Creek Veterinary Clinic – Nevada City, CA

You run the day the way you want, spend time with the clients and patients as you like, practice the medicine you love with state-of-the-art tools and local management support. You have control over the medicine and your work-life balance. We take care of the rest.

Pine Creek Veterinary Clinic is a small, full-service veterinary hospital with modern equipment and managed with enterprise-level tools by veterans of the industry. We love Nevada City and are fortunate to live in such a special community. As such, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional veterinary services to our neighbors and their beloved pets. We work with intention to grow sustainably, provide work-life balance for our staff and to promote an internal atmosphere of support and synergy.

We offer a wide variety of services including dermatology, surgery, internal medicine and dentistry and have the latest technology, tools and equipment at your fingertips. The clinic is currently open Monday-Saturday with flexible workdays.

The founder of the practice, Dr. Nolet, cultivated a practice that focused on quality medicine instead of quantity. We currently have 1,5 vets and 2 RVTs on staff, with a support staff of 12.

· We have tablets!

· We use Idexx Neo!

Labs? We have Idexx digital Xray. We have the full in house Abaxis lab suite and use Antech for Reference Labs. We run a ton of labs.

Dentals? We do about 4 COHATs a week, with digital dental rads mandatory.

Surgeries? Most soft tissue stuff is done 2 days a week.

Ultrasound. We can do ECHOs with and have a specialized US technician who comes to

We're looking ideally to add a new full time vet to our practice, part timers would have to at least work 2 days a week on average for this to work. Without that, there's no way to build up the rapport with the clientele. Our staff have deep roots in the community and so do our clients.

Mentorship? Dr. Nolet owned 2 practices in the past one of which is a large referral clinic in Sacramento and has years of experience that he would love to pass on to the next Associate or owner willing to impart. We strongly encourage conference/CE attendance.

Workflow. 10 minute appointments? Nope. 15? Nope. 20? Nope!. Instead appointments are booked at your discretion. We don't double or triple book appointments, and we generally try to book wellness exams towards the end of the day.

And you get an assistant! (If you want), either an experienced veterinary assistant or RVT depending on the case in rooms with you. They're generally working up the treatment plan for you as you go over the details with the client.

Doctors' notes are typed into Neo so transfer of cases is a cinch! Just read the medical note from the previous day.

COVID? We utilize rigorous disinfection protocols, and check their temperatures when clocking into work. Masking is mandatory.

Lunch? You get an hour for lunch. But you're saying, everybody says that. Nope, you do!

Compensation?

· The practice is on track to generate $1.4 million in revenue on 1,5 doctors. There is plenty of clients for you to take over and even more to add to.

· We offer $90,000 guaranteed base for fulltime associates, good for those who are starting out and need to ramp up their skill level

· Production %, benefits, and everything else is customizable based on the associate.

· Signing/moving bonuses are negotiable.

Records. We've transitioned to Neo in November and are well on our path towards paperless everything. Every new medical record and SOAPs are in Neo. You will only see records in Neo and can work on them from your laptop or check on stats remotely.

We have 2-way-messaging for internal communication between doctor, front desk or technicians. You won’t need to get up to send out treatment orders or request workups. Our team receives the messages and execute as advised.

Text messaging is also integrated with Neo so you can text clients directly if it doesn't require a phone call. Besides the texting, most of our clients have been trained to use emails for other types of communication.

We have an online pharmacy and relationships with several compounding pharmacies. Our blood, rads, and dental rads are completely integrated with Neo.

We have a certified radiology technician come to perform in-depth US studies and send most radiographs off to telemedicine for boarded specialist review.

Surrounding environment: Are you a hiker, mountain biker or enjoy watersports, fishing, boating and skiing or snow shoeing? There's tons of great outdoor sports options right outside of the clinic, in nearby Lake Tahoe or even Reno which is 1,5 hours away.

New grads are definitely welcome, and in fact preferred! We want someone that can grow with our practice. This could be the first and last practice you ever work at!
