Production/Fulfillment Associate

Pinetree Garden Seeds is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our team as a Production/Fulfillment Associate.

As a Production/Fulfillment Associate you will work under the direction and guidance of our Production Supervisor and Fulfillment Supervisor. You will spend time in both departments based upon the needs of the business. During the months of Nov-April, the majority of your work hours will be in Fulfillment. In May-Oct, the majority of your work hours will be in Production.

Fulfillment: Preparing customer orders for shipping. During our busy season (Nov-April) we ship out upwards of 1000 customer orders per day.

· Picking customer orders using pick sheet

· Understanding flow of warehouse pick-floor and item location system

· Staging orders

· Scanning orders into inventory management software

· Packing and shipping orders

Production: Hand packing seeds into seed packets in preparation for sale and distribution. This season (May-Oct) we are packing over 800,000 packets.

· Follow instructions from a written production order

· Pull bulk seed from storage

· Weigh and record bulk seed weight

· Pack seeds into seed packets based on production order instructions

· Ensure accurate seed counts per packet

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Skills

· Warehouse, shipping/receiving experience a plus

· Gardening knowledge a plus

Other Considerations

· Seasonal Full-Time position with opportunity to transition to Permanent Full-Time position based on performance

· Casual work environment

· Paid weekly

· 30-40 hours/week with primary shift being 8-4 M-F (some schedule flexibility is available) (hours fluctuate seasonally based on needs of the business)

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

· Position requires extended hours standing, sitting, walking, pulling, pushing, and repetitive motion

· Position requires frequent use of stairs and carrying items up and down stairs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
