Pinnacle Family Health (PFH) seeks a detail-oriented, professional, qualified person to fill our Family Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position. The person selected for this position will provide leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care services.

Position Overview:

Family Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Family Nurse Practitioner - Areas of Responsibility:

A. Practices in collaboration with a licensed physician (or physicians) pursuant to a collaborative practice agreement.

B. Enhances the quality of care through education and advanced nursing knowledge and practice.

C. Effectively collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.

D. Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up to patients.

E. Orders and interprets tests as indicated and recommends subsequent treatment for patients.

F. Administers therapeutic procedures; prescribes therapy or medications within a defined scope of practice.

G. Participates in organizational quality improvement initiatives.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Areas of Responsibility:

A. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.

B. Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia.

C. Develop individualized treatment plans including therapy and pharmacological interventions.

D. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.

E. Provide individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy.

F. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and social workers.

G. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

H. Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

A. Ability to think proactively and function independently.

B. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in the workplace.

C. Expertise in using the Microsoft Office software suite is required.

D. Must possess a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.

E. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to individuals across the organization at varying levels.

F. Must be detail-oriented and able to manage complex projects and multiple tasks.

G. Must maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure confidentiality.

H. Treat clients, staff, volunteers, board members, etc., with dignity and respect.

I. Offer assistance to coworkers as needed.

J. Demonstrate initiative by actively participating in the resolution of problems.

K. Ask for assistance when learning new information or job duties.

L. Take all necessary measures to properly use and maintain supplies and equipment.

M. Respect the rights of coworkers to a productive workplace.

N. Must adhere to all practices specified in the Employee Handbook and organizational Operating Procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

A. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a PMHNP focus.

B. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

C. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure

D. Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area

E. Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

F. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

G. Experience: A minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
