About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate HR Specialist - Leave of Absence to support our growing team by overseeing the administration of employee leaves and accommodations across Pinnacle Fertility’s national footprint. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable HR professional who thrives on balancing regulatory compliance with employee advocacy.
As our HR Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in managing a wide range of leave types, including FMLA, ADA, and disability-related absences, while ensuring a seamless experience for both employees and leaders. You’ll serve as a key partner to our third-party leave vendor, internal HR teams, and clinic supervisors—ensuring accurate communication, consistent policy enforcement, and meaningful support during pivotal life moments.
We are seeking an HR Specialist to join our team at Pinnacle Fertility in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer all types of leave-of-absence and disability accommodation requests, including FMLA, medical, personal, and ADA-related cases.
Serve as the primary liaison between Pinnacle, our third-party leave vendor, employees, managers, and HR teams to ensure timely, accurate, and empathetic case management.
Interpret and apply federal and multi-state leave laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and local jurisdiction requirements.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of leave transactions and associated documentation.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks of benefits and leave-related data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding leave, benefits eligibility, 401(k) plans, and qualifying life events.
Assist in the administration of open enrollment and benefits onboarding, including carrier communication and life event processing.
Develop and deliver training for employees and managers on leave policies, best practices, and tools.
Track and analyze leave trends, identifying opportunities for education, process improvement, and reporting.
Support additional HR initiatives and assist with special projects as needed.
Position Requirements
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience specifically in leave of absence administration, with hands-on knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related compliance requirements.
Experience managing vendor partnerships and multi-state employee populations preferred.
Skills:
Deep understanding of federal and multistate leave laws and benefits regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy and discretion.
Exceptional organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000 annually (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
