Reports to: Department Manager
Duties/Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, or tend machines
- Examine completed work pieces for defects
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using necessary tools
- Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes
- Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Requires 2 years brake press experience
- Setup ability
- You must be able to: Accurately work with calipers, squares, gauges, protractors and other measuring tools
- Have good math ability and problem-solving skills
- Read and interpret blueprints efficiently
- Aerospace experience preferred making high quality steel, stainless steel or aluminum parts
- Well versed in AS9100 and ITAR QMS and inspection techniques and equipment.
- Must have strong computer skills and attention to detail
