Proficiency in Excel and experience with project management or accounting software (such as Deltek, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks) is essential. Responsibilities
- Track and manage budgets for multiple ongoing engineering projects
- Work directly with project managers to review job costing, forecast expenses, and identify variances
- Prepare and process client billing and ensure timely collections
- Monitor contract compliance and maintain accurate project financial records
- Manage month-end close related to project accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with audit preparation and reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
- Support financial planning and analysis for upcoming and existing projects
- Coordinate with the accounting team on company-wide financial reporting
- Assist in the development of process improvements for tracking project financial performance
