Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Location: Allentown Pennsylvania 18109

Duration : 12 Month assignment

Pay Rate : $60.00 per hour

Must Have

1. Relevant mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery, specifically hot gas path components.
2. Previous non-conformance dispositioning experience of deviating hardware by applying mechanical engineering assessments
3. Familiar with Ansys, NX, and other analytical tools.
4. Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.

Job Description

1. Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements and disposition hardware non-conformances, while maintaining optimal quality for our customers
2. Support Design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent Engineering
3. Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, new equipment Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of part, reduce cost and add value
4. Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action Workouts Proactive Quality engagement for Defect reduction / process improvements
5. Support Qualification guidelines, specifications and top manufacturing issues Technology development and qualification of special processes – castings, coating, hole drilling, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
