What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Pioneer Union Elementary School District?
Duties:
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques and interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide one-on-one therapy to children with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Follow individualized treatment plans to address specific goals and objectives
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior using established methods
- Assist with behavior assessments and functional analyses
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans as needed
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Strong observation and data collection skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
Note: This position may require some evening or weekend availability, depending on client needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.43 - $24.38 per hour
Expected hours: 34.00 per week
