Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is vital in supporting our restaurant operations by ensuring smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction. Prior restaurant or banquet experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
Job Summary
Sets and cleans dining room tables before, during and after meal service. Completes the necessary side work prior to meal times. Assists the server in every way to ensure a pleasurable dining experience for the member.
Job Tasks (Essential Functions)
· Set up stations with clean trays.
· Prepares and rolls up and sets silverware.
· Polish silverware and help replenish all washed items from kitchen to stations.
· Prepare bread and butter for service.
· Organize and keep stations clean at all times.
· Serves bread and water as guests are seated or pre-sets water as assigned.
· Removes soiled dishes from table (in accordance with procedure); brings to dish washing area.
· Removes soiled linen, takes to laundry area, replaces with clean linen
· Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items.
· Replenishes server’s station with supplies as needed. Ensure ice bin and buckets are kept filled.
· Set up & Breakdown rooms for different events.
· Cleans and collects trash from dining room area, grill area, locker rooms and porch areas, lobby and other areas as needed.
· Dusts chairs before and after meals and ensures floor area is clean prior to seating.
· Expedites and assists in timing courses between the table and the kitchen.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
· Must communicate fluently in English.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 5 hours or more), squat, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull.
· Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
Reports to: Dining Room Supervisor.
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included with position.
Educational Requirements: Entry-level position, desired successful work experience in a similar environment.
