Job Description
IMMEDIATE HIRE! Must be able to pass a Fitting Test and be able to read Structural Blueprints.
Invitations to test may be sent via email for either 8am or 1pm.
3701 Holmes Rd. Off of 610 & Scott Street in the NRG Area.
Scheduled Hours:
1st Shift: Mon - Fri 7:00am-3:30pm; Sat 7:00am-12:00pm
2nd Shift Mon-Fri 4:00pm-12:30am; Sat 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Summary of Duties
Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Reports to department leadman.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
• Tack-weld fitted parts together.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces in order to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
• Smooth workpiece edges, and fix taps, tubes, and valves.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures, using hand tools.
• To work overtime as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or high school GED.
• Over 2 years of experience structural fitting.
• Require minimal supervision to perform the job.
• Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment.
• Ability to manipulate tools and assembly components involving fine and gross motor skills sufficient to demonstrate welding job tasks.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
· Job requires physical ability work for long periods of time in an indoor manufacturing facility.
· Must be able to work overtime and half day Saturday
