The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) is seeking dedicated Part Time Instructors at our Pittsburgh Campus to join our team of skilled educators. We're looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about hands-on teaching and committed to student success.

Areas of Expertise We Seek:

• Aviation Maintenance - (with valid A&P)
• Avionics
• Electronics
• Physics
• Physical Science
• Mathematics
• History
• Electrical Concepts and Troubleshooting
  
  
  

Pay Rate: $25 – 28/ hour

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare and present lessons, units, and projects to complete learning objectives
• Assist in the student shop/laboratory where applicable
• Develop and follow approved methods of student evaluation
• Advise students in matters of academic performance, attendance, and conduct
• Submit accurate grades and attendance information at established intervals
• Participate in on-the job and formalized professional development activities
  
  
  

Flexible Work schedule based on course need within the hours of Monday-Friday, 7:30AM – 3:30PM. There may also be opportunities to assist in evening lab and tutoring sessions for those who are interested.

Qualifications:

• Education and experience requirements vary depending on the areas of training. We encourage you to apply to discuss your qualifications
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (Word, Excel, email, internet)
• Previous Teaching experience is preferred

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
