What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pizza Cook position at Pizzeria da Laura?
Pizzeria da Laura is a Pizzeria and Restaurant in Berekely serving multiple styles of pizza all made fresh in house and by hand. We are looking for expereienced pizza knowledge but more than anything a willingness to learn new techniques. 8am-4pm Wednesday- Sunday.
DAILY
- Understand the quality and expectations of our establishment.
- Supervise the Prep Cook Team during preparation and service periods, keeping the Chefs informed of their progress.
- Prioritize daily work schedules with fellow Line Cooks while also delegating appropriate work to Prep Cook and Externs; provide assistance as appropriate to gain greater efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment. Keep all areas clean and organized at all times.
- Collaborate when appropriate in menu changes, including specials/seasonal offerings.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the property.
- Work in tandem with the team to ensure standards are met or exceeded, as it relates to appearance of the facilities, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring your team members to assist them in achieving their professional goals.
- Prepare all required paperwork, requested of you by your supervisor in an organized and timely manner.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Assure all necessary items are in the restaurant at the start of the shift. Communicate any needs in an appropriate time frame, ensuring all ingredients represent our quality
standards and are in line with the standards established by the Chef. Communicate any discrepancies.
- Take appropriate action to rectify any issues that may arise.
