Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) – Cardiac Stepdown
• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York nursing jobs)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: November 30, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30p – 7a)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2430 - $2490
• Floating: Required to other units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license (verified via NURSYS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU experience, including travel nursing experience
• Recent Charge RN experience required
• 2 recent IMCU Charge/Manager RN references
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Skills checklist matching cardiac stepdown specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Up-to-date resume and required documentation at submission
  
  

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative diagnoses
• Monitor and manage specialty equipment: temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines (A lines), Bipap, Neptune Vapo, and chronic ventilators (with RT support)
• Serve as Charge RN as needed, providing leadership and clinical support to the nursing team
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
