Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (20 beds, Level IV Trauma Center)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per 4-week schedule
• Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910 - $1960
  
  

ER RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Mexico or compact state)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC & NRP certifications preferred
• Ability to provide documentation for fingerprinting/background check per New Mexico state requirements (travel nurses may start on a 14-day waiver)
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to mentor others
  
  

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with diverse emergency medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using MedHost EHR
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and Joint Commission standards
• Demonstrate critical thinking, adaptability, and clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment
