• Location: Flagstaff, Arizona 86001
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Facility: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour days (06:30 – 19:00)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract)
• On-Call: Up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts (12 hours each) per contract, 30-minute recall
• Weekend Requirement: As needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• Scrubs: Provided
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,930 - $1,980 per week
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Level I trauma nursing experience required (strong Level II trauma experience considered)
• Proficient in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) surgical cases
• Ability to take on-call shifts with 30-minute recall
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
• First-time travel nurses welcome
  
  

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical procedures: orthopedic, trauma, spine, and neuro cases
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes as required
• Adhere to hospital quality, safety, and medication administration protocols
• Float to other clinical areas as needed based on skill set and facility needs
