Telemetry RN Job Details – Elizabethtown, KY

• Location: Elizabethtown, KY 42701 (Kentucky nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: MedSurg/Telemetry Unit (5th Floor)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (locum tenens nursing contract)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$1960
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Orientation: 24 hours
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state (RN jobs in Kentucky)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (prior to assignment)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two professional references
  
  

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and titrate cardiac drips
• Administer blood products and manage peripheral and central lines
• Implement O2 protocol and provide non-invasive airway management
• Apply isolation precautions and use PPE as required
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in rapid response team activations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other nursing units as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
