What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at Planet Pharma?
In your future role at the Madison, Wisconsin site of the global leader in genetic sequencing, you will be part of our team who ensure that the equipment and instruments we use to produce the reagents for sequencing products for analysis of genetic variation are functioning and maintained within the requirements of a cGMP and ISO13485 regulated environment.
Working individually and on diverse teams, you will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and associated documentation processes of the wide array of laboratory, pilot plant, and production scale manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities:
- Works with cross functional teams and third-party vendors to schedule, calibrate, maintain, and document issues of equipment and system
- Works with cross functional teams on projects to improve and develop processes/equipment using lean manufacturing
- Works with cross functional teams to determine calibration/maintenance requirements and procedures
- Ability to function efficiently within a ticket-based equipment management system software
- Create, document, and execute calibration and maintenance protocols to provide continually improving overall equipment effectiveness following cGMP/GLP guidelines.
- Support of internal processes to ensure Regulatory compliance is maintained
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams locally, nationally, and internationally to exchange best practices, develop, or align processes, and complete projects
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
Required:
- Excellent communication and collaboration experience
- Ability to stay nimble and manage changing priorities
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree
- 0-2 years minimum experience
Nice to Haves:
- Previous experience working in a lab
- Previous experience working in a cGMP and ISO13485 regulated environment
- Previous experience calibrating and maintaining lab equipment
