Duties and Responsibilities:


The Dishwasher will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils and cookware. This includes washing, drying, sorting and storing dishes correctly. The Dishwasher will also be responsible for cleaning the kitchen including counters, floors, walls and other areas as assigned. The Dishwasher will also need to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:


Successful applicants should have prior dishwashing experience, a basic understanding of food safety and sanitation, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Excellent time management and organization skills are also desirable.

Training and Education:


No prior educational background is required for this position. On-the-job training is provided to ensure the Dishwasher is comfortable with all duties and responsibilities.

What a typical day looks like for a dishwasher


A dishwasher's primary daily task is to ensure that dishes, glasses, cutlery, and other kitchen items are cleaned properly. On a typical day, a dishwasher will first unload any previously washed items and organize them appropriately. Then they will load the soiled items into the washer and start the cycle. After the cycle is finished, they will unload the dishes and carefully inspect them to ensure they are clean. Finally, they may hand-dry the dishes, put them away, empty the sink, and scrub out the washer to prepare it for the next cycle.
