What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Classroom Teacher position at Play-School ChildCare Centers, Inc.?
Play-School ChildCare Centers has openinga for a preschool and pre-k teachers. The perfect candidate will have experience in a childcare facility setting, have an BA, AA or CDA in early childhood/preschool age, experience with developing/following lesson plans and assessments. Candidate must be in good health and be able to get up from and down to the floor with ease, able to lift up to 20 pounds, and love children. Salary will depend upon experience and education.
Qualified candidates should be willing to play and allow/help children have fun while learning. The right person will be willing to read stories, sing songs and model developmentally-appropriate play with preschool age children. They will also help clean, sanitize, and maintain classrooms and equipment. Candidates should also be willing to help clean and maintain fixtures in the classroom; i.e. tables, chairs, walls, bathrooms; etc.
Candidates are expected to be dependable, be on-time, and work a flexible schedule. Candidates are also expected to obtain 20 hours of staff development professional class hours paid by center as required by the MS Health Department ChildCare Licensure Division.
