Front Desk Receptionist – Full-Time or Part-Time

Playful Pups Retreat in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. In this role, you will be the welcoming face and voice of our Premium Care Overnight Lodging facility, providing outstanding customer service while ensuring smooth and accurate check-ins and check-outs for our guests.

What You'll Do as a Front Desk Receptionist

As a key member of our team, you play an essential role in creating a positive and reassuring experience for both pet parents and their dogs. When clients call or visit our facility, you greet them with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm - just like a happy Golden Retriever.

Your responsibilities include:

• Welcoming clients and clearly explaining our services

• Checking pets in and out accurately, collecting information, and completing required paperwork

• Escorting dogs to and from lobby areas during drop-off and pick-up

• Answering phones professionally and efficiently

• Communicating clearly with pet parents and the pet care team

Your attention to detail, calm problem-solving skills, and caring attitude help ensure every interaction reflects the high standards of Playful Pups Retreat.

Schedule Requirements

Overnight Lodging Location

Availability for one of the following weekly shifts is required:

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Every other weekend is required.

Daycare & Training Location

Availability for one of the following weekly shifts:

• 6:15 AM – 2:15 PM (Monday–Friday)

• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

• Occasional Sunday shifts during the summer

Experience in a pet boarding, dog daycare, or animal care environment is a plus, but not required. Previous customer service experience is also helpful - we are happy to train the right, motivated candidate.

Physical Requirements & Safety Expectations

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods; sit, bend, twist, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds; use phones or headsets; type and write; and clearly see and hear to communicate in person and over the phone.

Safely handling dogs of all sizes - including dogs that may pull or jump - is an essential part of this position. Playful Pups Retreat prioritizes safety, and all team members are expected to follow established policies and procedures at all times.
