Groundskeeper and Houseperson

The Plaza Beach Resorts is a collection of award winning resorts on St Pete Beach. We are looking for a motivated person who can work independently in a high-paced environment. The hotel is family- owned and operated and the owners are on property on a daily basis; this is not a large corporate environment. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be physically able work outside in all conditions, to lift and carry 50lbs and go up and down stairs. We are looking for a hard worker with a shining personality who can work independently but also be a strong team player! We are a nonsmoking workplace. Applicant must be able to go an entire shift without smoking.

Job Description/Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of general task such as: Cleaning buildings and grounds areas as needed; also helping out the housekeepers with stripping linen and trash from rooms, folding laundry and other assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Cleans buildings and grounds areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective hotel environment, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure.

• Responsible for keeping up with the landscaping and public areas of the hotel.

• Cleans pool area and arranges pool furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing safe and clean area for hotel guests.

• Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.

• Providing information to guests about hotel policies and services.

• Coordinates with the front desk and management on any issues needing to be dealt with.

• Must adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company including but not limited to those contained in employee handbook.

• Friendly Customer Service is Key.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Any other duties that need to be done or are assigned to by management.
