Responsibilities:
- Perform dressing changes and wound care.
- Responsible for monitoring/follow-up of all ulcers and incisions with appropriate documentation and communication to physician and family.
- Assess Weekly nutrition/hydration of residents with all ulcers and incisions, evaluate and initiate additional nutritional intake as required.
- Monitor lab reports for incidence of infection in assigned wounds. Evaluate causative factors/problems, and solutions and communicate same to nursing staff management.
- Augment floor staffing if needed.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing with state licensing agency.
- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills, leadership qualities, and good communication skills.
