About the Job
As a Kennel Attendant in the Pleasant Valley Kennel, you will work with your Kennel Leads and other team members to care for a wide range of animals from dogs and cats to birds and ferrets. You will be giving all the pets in your care the loving attention that their owners would normally. This attention can include some or all of the following: feeding and providing water, playing, keeping pets’ kennels clean and fresh, limited grooming such as baths and toenail trims, and most importantly giving the pets as much love as they need! You will also train in limited veterinary skills including giving injections, giving medications, and monitoring pets with medical conditions. As a part of excellent care, you will help your team maintain the cleanliness of not just the pets but the facility as well! This position is a great steppingstone for anybody looking to get into the veterinary medicine field or a great second job for a caring and enthusiastic individual!
Pay: $10 - $12 an hour

- Day shift – Most needed!
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Animal Handling experience welcomed but not necessary

About you:
- You will have flexibility in your schedule with morning availability which is most needed in the kennel right now!
- You will be available to work weekends and holidays. If you like working weekends and holidays this is your jam!
- You are able to provide excellent customer service.
- You are able to communicate effectively with your team and other teams in PVVC.
- You are able to lift more than 30lbs.
- You have no problem getting dirty and performing cleaning tasks to keep the pets clean and healthy.
- You are willing to learn new skills and keep growing!
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
