Job Description
The Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. All work will be done in compliance with safety rules and regulations. Prior experience in a maintenance role is highly preferred and the training we provide will add to the applicant's skills.
Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs;
- Implement preventative maintenance measures;
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies;
- Complete inspections of the facility with Maintenance Supervisor
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol;
To become a candidate for this position, you should be able to meet the following requirements:

High school diploma/GED required;
- Able to read, write and speak English effectively;
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted;
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment including snow blowers and small hand tools;
- Able to work well with minimal supervision;
- Ability to prioritize tasks, follow specified procedures, complete projects in a timely manner, and recognize when additional effort would improve the project.

Qualifications

- See, hear or use prosthetic devices to enable use of the senses adequately.
- Sit, stand, bend, stoop, and move for extended periods of time.
- Use hands and fingers to operate equipment.
- Lift, move, push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors and the general public.
- Work harmoniously with other department personnel and supervise non-professional personnel.
- Have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
