Pleasantville Community School District seeks to fill the following anticipated vacancy for the 2024-2025 school year.
Middle School Counselor for grades 5-8
An endorsement in Professional School Counselor 5-12 or the ability to obtain licensure is required.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to:
- connect with students and build relationships based on trust and confidentiality;
- communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues;
- create a master schedule for middle school in collaboration with the high school counselor and set up individual student schedules;
- develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and instruction for grades 5-8;
- work one-on-one with students on issues such as mental health, relationships, educational planning, etc.
