What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpentry Assistant position at Please Be Seated?
Please Be Seated is a family-owned and operated business offering full-service party and event rentals for the greater Nashville, TN area and beyond since 2014. Due to our continued growth, we have immediate openings for a Carpentry Assistant. We are looking for motivated and personable team members who can take initiative and are passionate. We offer a competitive hourly rate, flexible schedule, and have open positions with full-time, part-time and seasonal availability. Previous experience in the event rental industry is a plus!
Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Light woodworking, painting and general inventory maintenance
- Prepping and painting furniture items, light repair, upkeep of wood shop and surrounding warehouse spaces
- Assisting operations department as needed
Additional Information:
This is a very active position and requires candidate to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb and lift/move items over 75lbs for repetitively for extended periods of time. General hours worked are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, with the opportunity for additional hours based on seasonal demand. Candidates must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone. The ability to operate fork lift is a plus! Position is a temp to hire with starting pay dependent on experience.
