What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stockroom Associate position at Plimoth Patuxet Museums?
Plimoth Patuxet Museums has an opportunity to work at one of the country's most prestigious history museums! Plimoth Patuxet Museums is looking for a Stockroom Associate to work full-time, seasonally (through November 2022). You will be responsible for receiving, and distributing merchandise, and for maintaining a safe and orderly stockroom. You will also assist with packing and shipping mail order. Other duties include:
- Inspect product for damages or flaws
- Sticker merchandise
- Record accurate counts
- Stock merchandise to assigned areas
- Correct discrepancies
- Create proposed P.O.’s on computer
- Print tags and look up inventory data for reference as needed
- Pull and fill orders for all shop locations
- Using the company vehicle, deliver merchandise to all shops - daily and as needed
- Carefully packs items to avoid damages
- Answer phone and take messages
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Climb on a step ladder or step stool
