SUMMARY
The Mat Service representative is responsible for servicing Plymate mat customers. After completing a trainign period, they move into the next open route that becomes available. The Plymate Service representative provides professional, courteous service to customers on a regular basis. They work with both internal and external customers to make sure the correct products are delivered and billed accurately. They address all customer concerns in an appropriate timeframe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Safely operate a box truck, load and unload product for delivery on a daily basis. Deliver product to customers as directed. Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers. Look for additional sales opportunities within the account and renew the contract at the end of the contract term. They follow company policies, coordinating all service activities to achieve long-range goals, complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly route objectives for profitability. This includes but is not limited to customer retention, increased sales within existing customer accounts and customer relations. The service representative resolves customer problems and/or brings concerns to supervisors or others in the organization that can assist with a service problem that the Service Representative cannot resolve.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Service/route or sales experience preferably in a service environment. Some successful college course completion desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets simple financial reports. Ability to effectively present information to customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply simple mathematical concepts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The ability to learn and become proficient in FileMaker and our AS400 computer system and using our handheld computer systems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
LICENSE: The license requirement of the position is chauffeur’s license (or ability to attain one within seven days of beginning work as a Service Representative) and an acceptable driving record (as determined by our vehicle insurance carrier). Adherence to company motor vehicle policy for drivers.

Ability to sit, stand and walk continuously throughout the day. Ability to climb, twist, bends, stoop, reach above shoulder level and operate a motor vehicle continuously throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously (up to 100% of the time) throughout the day and up to 100 pounds frequently (up to 5 hours) throughout the day unassisted. Ability to push and pull (carts) up to 300 pounds with both hands frequently (up to 5 hours) throughout the day.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes.

Salary: Service representatives are paid a base salary, plus biweekly commission, and quarterly bonus opportunity. New representatives are also eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $1100.00.
