About The Role

The Application Support Engineer serves as the bridge between Operations and Software Development, providing technical support for business applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system stability. This role requires a flexible problem-solver with strong application architecture and system operations knowledge, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Application Support: Provide day-to-day support for enterprise applications, resolving user issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot application-related problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement both short- and long-term solutions.
  • Monitoring: Use tools like Redgate Monitor and Dynatrace to monitor application performance, system health, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with client support, software development, infrastructure teams, and product owners to resolve issues and ensure smooth support delivery.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date troubleshooting documentation for applications, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance system reliability, and optimize support workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL).
  • Experience with .NET (C#, VB, APIs) and debugging.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell) for automation and ETL management.
  • Basic knowledge of application servers and experience with monitoring tools (Redgate, Dynatrace, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
