Qualifications
- High School Diploma - experience preferred
- Ability to deal with interruptions
- Ability to multi-task – flexibility
- Effective communication skills: written – oral – telephone – interpersonal
- Computer skills
- Ability to work with students and meet their specific needs: emotional – social – academic – physical
- Ability to work with teachers and staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to supervise students using good judgment and school guidelines

Essential Job Functions
- Work with students on subject matter
- Recess/Lunch – Classroom Coverage
- Prepare learning materials and centers (primary)
- Clerical – record scores, etc.
- Work with, assist, observe, redirect student
- Re-teaching – academic support
- Organizing
- Teaching social behavior
- Assisting child w/difficult time
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Clearances required for employment:
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114)
