Job Summary

The Transition Teacher works with other team members to create an environment that is stimulating and engaging for both children and university students.
The job offer is contingent on the successful completion of a background check. PLNU will consider qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local "Fair Chance" laws.
Schedule: 11:30am-3:00pm Monday through Friday

Physical Requirements
Standing and sitting, both in chairs and on the floor, for periods greater than one hour. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with young children, students, parents, and co-workers in person and by phone. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs throughout the day.

- Job Description:
- Supervise lunch time for 3 year old and 4 year old children
- Get nap room ready for nap
- Supervise outdoor time for 3 year olds and 4 year olds
- Keep confidentiality and professionalism at the highest level
- Monitor the field experience college students and teacher aids during all indoor and outdoor activities
- Guide college students in their daily interactions with children at the ECLC
- Supervise nap time for 3 year olds and 4 year olds
- Report concerns to the ECLC Site Director
