Job Summary
Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Develops and maintains good working rapport with other employees to assure that food service is properly maintained and meets the needs of the residents.
- Assists cook in preparing meals that are appealing in taste and appearance.
- Assists in distributing and collecting menus and serving meals, in a timely manner.
- Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures and temperatures.
- Assists in checking and distribution of food trays.
- Assists in cleaning duties, including work area, meat blocks, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
- Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
- Obtains food supplies and assists with other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED.
Management/Decision Making: Makes standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with little independent judgement. Problems are usually solved with clear, detailed guidelines or by reporting them to a supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills: Has the ability to follow written or verbal instructions and skills to complete a few repetitive duties. Has working knowledge of the organization.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
