Job Summary
Perform repair and preventative maintenance procedures on all Facilities systems to include ultrapure water plant, pH plant, Compressed air systems, Chiller plant, Boiler plant and other HVAC systems. Support production by maintaining the equipment for optimal performance and minimal disruption. Provide work direction and task assignment over facilities maintenance technicians. Take after hour calls and follow up remotely if possible or respond to site or contact other facilities personnel as necessary.
Duties And Responsibilities
Operate and maintain all plant systems according to operational parameters necessary to meet building requirements. Assist in developing strategies to improve the operation of the plant. Provide technical guidance and training to other Facilities technicians in the operation of the plant. Act as primary point of contact for Facilities maintenance issues and requests. Prioritize daily physical plant sustaining activities and assign work direction as needed to all plant maintenance personnel. Maintain piece part and operational inventories to ensure continuous operation of all physical plant systems. Ensure that all preventative maintenance and safety related tasks are completed on time. Personally respond or assign resources as needed to respond to Facilities issues or emergencies 24/7. Ensure that appropriate coverage is maintained at all times by carefully monitoring PDO schedules vs. available resources. Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment. Perform other duties as required
Skills And Knowledge
Must hold a State of Minnesota Chief Engineer, Grade-C Boilers License
Knowledge of ultrapure water treatment systems.
General mechanical aptitude and systems troubleshooting skills.
Typically requires one year of vocational training and/or ten years of on-the-job experience.
Knowledge of industrial waste discharge and hazardous waste management programs.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Frequent daily exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials, odors, and loud noises. Frequent work in all areas of the facility: cleanroom, penthouses, and dock locations with exposure to a wide temperature ranges.
Daily preventative maintenance activities on physical plant equipment, vacuum pumps air handlers, Clean Dry air compressors, exhaust fans, all plant support mechanics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs with assistance from another person.

The estimated base salary for the position is $75,000-$98,000. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position.
