ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will be part of the Administrative Support team for Polk County Health Services.  You will help keep the administrative office operations going and provide executive level support.  This position will require you to learn and perform administrative support processes related to facility and resource coordination, personnel onboarding, provider credentialing, and departmental communication. This position will have daily interactions with the Health Services workforce and work closely with our Human Resources and Information Services departments. We are seeking someone who is highly organized and has excellent interpersonal skills.  The ideal candidate is self motivated, has a desire to learn and grow, and enjoys working with a team to accomplish tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent; AND four (4) years of administrative support experience; OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.

OTHER NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS
  • Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license within 30 days of hire may be required for some incumbents, depending on area assignment.
  • Specific technical training and certifications may be required for some incumbents, depending on area of assignment.

Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north. The population is approximately 87,000 and the county spans about 744 square miles, with two thirds of the western part of the county being forest. National protected areas include the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Siuslaw National Forest.

The County is part of the agricultural richness the Willamette Valley has to offer.
