Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team for the 2025 - 2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging art lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
Position: Mon - Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm
Duties
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate art curriculum 4 times a week.
- Create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, including special education needs.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning and development.
- Provide individualized attention to students, including those requiring early intervention services.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Registration in the Central Background Registry.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Capacity to create captivating art lesson plans that include a variety of media
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
- Experience in behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience with children requiring additional support is desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
