Ponder Environmental Services located in Benicia is looking for a Environmental Hazmat Technician.

Job Description/Job Duties:

• Perform all types of troubleshooting, repair, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate a forklift and other types of equipment.
• Use of pumping systems.
• Will work in confined spaces.
• Chemical transfer and handling.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Skills and Experience:

• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or willing to obtain prior to employment.
• Must have familiarization and understanding of use and application of various types of respiratory protection and chemical hazards.
• Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean DMV required.
• Experience performing general laborer duties related to the clean-up of hazardous waste sites.
• Utilizing all types of personal protective equipment.
• Have working knowledge of commonly used field equipment and gear.
• Must be willing to travel and work overtime.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
