What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift Maintenance position at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center?
Pontiac Nursing Home is currently seeking a Maintenace Worker to become a part of our small 80 bed long/short term care facility.
All potential employees will be subjected to a mandatory Criminal History Records check
This person will work under the supervision of our Environmental Director.
General maintenance and repair experience needed. Experience is a nursing home preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must operate machinery and equipment, maintain in good repair, and store in an orderly fashion.
- Be able to handle and use simple electrical and plumbing equipment and make minor repairs.
- Be able to carry, push, and pull large equipment in and out of facility.
- Ensure that facility grounds are neat and in order.
- Assist with Preventive Maintenance duties as instructed.
- Painting, touch up painting, drywall
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 or more lbs.
- Frequent standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, walking are required.
- Must be reliable and have transportation
