Position Summary
The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will assist in all aspects of developing and advancing a competitive women’s soccer program in the Big Sky Conference and at the NCAA Division I national level. This includes, but is not limited to: coaching, recruiting, and counseling student-athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; fundraising and public relations; adhering to all rules and regulation of the university, NCAA, Big Sky, and soccer program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum three years collegiate coaching/club coaching/collegiate competition.
- Demonstrated excellence in professional/interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the total welfare of student-athletes.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing and advancing a successful women’s soccer program both academically and athletically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous goalkeeping experience as player at the collegiate level.
- Previous goalkeeping experience as a coach at the collegiate level.
- Proficient with digital video editing/analysis and athletics recruiting software.
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $39,768 – $42,500, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
An excellent benefits package includes 95% employer-paid health insurance premiums (employees and eligible dependents) and significantly reduced tuition rates for employees and eligible dependents at any of the Oregon Public Universities. After completing six full months employees are eligible to choose between our two employer-paid pension programs in addition to two voluntary retirement programs.
