POS is seeking candidates who want to join our growing software development team to collaborate on our healthcare communications solutions. We are currently seeking QA Software Tester candidates for a unique career opportunity to become part of our dynamic and innovative team. This position is located on-site at our Corporate Offices in Waterloo, Iowa:
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. We firmly believe that one of the qualities that separates a good employee from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Coordinate the delivery of products that meets specifications, are free of defects, and have optimal performance.
- Prepare appropriate documentation and specifications.
- Act as a key leader of the product launch team and work closely with the operations team to resolve production level issues.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Assist efforts to understand and develop a resolution to software problems and customer issues.
- Foster a service delivery culture shared with peers.
- Be an escalation point for software and testing issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree preferred, but not required. (This is not a Software Developer position)
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Knowledge of regression testing, QA methodology, and Agile software development
- Exposure to a SQL database or writing SQL scripts
This is a Salary Exempt Position with regular hours Monday - Friday generally between 8:00am-5:00pm. Starting annual salary $45K-$55K commensurate with experience.
