Responsibilities
Jr. Estimator will provide and/or coordinate all support services to the Sr. Estimators associated with the preparation of bids and proposals.
• Bid setup, summary form data entry, and bid scheduling.• Review and incorporate historical data from productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.• Provide take off and technical support to Sr. Estimators preparing larger estimates • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. • Heavy Bid maintenance (labor, crew, activity, and bid master codebooks)• Solicit, document, and analyze subcontractor/vendors quotations. • Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.• Provide award related submittals• Assist contracting team during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required. • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Qualifications
• Education and experience requirements include: 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or related experience. • Cost estimating curriculum preferred.• Ability to work well in a team environment.
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
• Microsoft Office applications • Scheduling software/CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)• Strong technical and proposal writing skills• OSHA Training• Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions
