Substance Abuse Counselor
Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of clients to determine the appropriate treatment plan
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Educate clients and their families about the effects of substance abuse and available resources for recovery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- State licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LCADC)
- At least two years of administrative experience in a substance abuse treatment facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with healthcare management and medical management principles
