What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater Needed - Bell Arthur/Greenville NC position at Possessing the Keys of the Kingdom Childcare?
Here at Possessing the Keys of the Kingdom, we are seeking an energetic, experienced FLOATER to join our growing childcare facility. In this position, you will be responsible for the early education and developmental needs of our students. You must have a background in early childhood developmental education and able to teach children through a variety of learning exercises.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas;·
- Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by administration;
- Complete weekly lesson plans, and goals.
- Accept and maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom;
- Implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the young children.
- Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions on a daily basis;
- Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background;
- Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions;
- Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.
Requirements
- Must ALREADY HAVE A CURRENT QUALIFYING LETTER FOR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK FROM NC DIVISION OF CHILDCARE DEVELOPMENT
- Current Physical and TB Tine Skin Test(Within last 12 months)
- High school diploma or GED required, college degree is strongly preferred Current CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a professional childcare setting
- Valid NC Driver’s License
- Solid working knowledge of childhood development
- Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must
- Fun and enthusiastic attitude
- Willing to sing, dance, and “be silly” with the children
- Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
- Must be able to lift children weighing up to 30 lbs regularly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $7.25 - $9.00 per hour
