What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Maintenance Technician position at POTOMAC POOL SERVICE, INC.?
Maintenance Technicians with Potomac Pool Service are friendly, well-educated, articulate, independent problem solvers. Integrity and clean presentation are a crucial part of representing Potomac Pool Service when working on a wide variety of private backyard properties, conducting weekly maintenance, and engaging with clients on a day-by-day, face-to-face basis.
Responsibilities of this job include visiting a route of 6-9 residential properties to conduct standard pool maintenance on a daily basis, sending accurate and well articulated estimates for repairs, and managing communications between the client and company as their regular backyard pool service technician. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an energetic demeanor. Given the seasonal nature of the pool industry, full time technicians are trained to close pools in the Fall and may have the opportunity to work in the winter.
Applicants must be over the age of 18 and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A high school diploma is required, and experience in the pool industry is strongly preferred. A pool operators certification is also strongly preferred. Applicants are expected to have a reliable source of transportation and have availability full-time, 5 days a week, until the end of October.
This position is outdoors, consisting largely of manual labor and routine maintenance for outdoor equipment, and largely independent on a day to day basis. Technicians operate their routes solo in a company assigned Ford F-350 and are expected to have the ability to solve problems and represent the company professionally at all times when working.
