MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Graduate from AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
3. Certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and licensed by the state of WV.
4. Must complete certification and become Registered CT within one year of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
1. Previous Computed Tomography (CT) experience.

1. Responsible for safe handling of equipment and DR cassettes.
2. Positions patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary.
3. Provides care while displaying a good understanding of age-related development issues, psychological, and physical needs of patients and their families for CT scans.
4. Instructs and prepares patients for reentgenographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
5. Assesses patient's understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures.
6. Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards.
7. Documents consent for IV contrast.
8. Assists in providing education for student technologists and other ancillary personnel.
9. Verifies exam orders.

5. Knowledge of positioning techniques and patient transfer.
6. Personal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families, referring physicians, nursing, patient transport service, administration, and with personnel in other departments.
7. Ability to maintain confidential information.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks/project and meet deadlines.
