POSITION SUMMARY

The Office Administrator plays a crucial role in processing of sales program rebates, as well as supporting various functions of the accounting department by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process sales program support claims including bid assistance, fleet, national, corporate and other miscellaneous program claims. Works closely with customers and sales team to resolve issues.
  • Works closely with other functions of accounting department for cross training and support where needed.
  • Performs monthly reconciliation of credit card expenses.
  • Processes inventory cycle counts and provides daily Inventory/Order accuracy reports.
  • Operates telephone system to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
  • Greets persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Files and maintains records.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a pleasant work atmosphere while working and communicating with customers, co-workers and management.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum one year of experience working in an Office Administrator, Customer Support, Claims Processing position or role with similar duties & responsibilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate level knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States of America.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms, including lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate an automobile.

Work Environment

The work environment is in a standard office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This full-time office position is located at Power Equipment Distributors in Richmond, MI.

Salary : $29,200 - $37,000
