What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Performance Content Strategist position at Power Kinetics?
Power Kinetics | Remote / Flexible
Contract, Ongoing (Weekly)
About Power Kinetics
Power Kinetics builds velocity-based hydraulic resistance systems designed for performance, rehabilitation, and long-term durability.
Using dual-concentric technology, our systems provide smooth, adaptive resistance while capturing real-time performance data — including power output, fatigue, range of motion, and asymmetry. Our equipment is used across collegiate and professional sport, rehabilitation settings, and performance-focused environments where joint health and athlete availability matter.
We work closely with Directors of Performance, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, and Sports Science teams who care about precision, outcomes, and doing things right.
The Role
We’re hiring a Sports Performance Thought-Leadership Content Strategist to help us publish one high-quality piece of weekly content, primarily on LinkedIn (with light adaptation for Instagram and TikTok).
This role is about clear thinking, informed opinions, and credibility in the world of:
- High performance
- Strength & conditioning
- Sports science
- Rehabilitation and return-to-play
What You’ll Do (Weekly)
- Each week, you’ll help create one insight-driven piece of content, such as:
- A strong take on return-to-play, athlete availability, or durability
- Commentary on what teams commonly misunderstand in performance or rehab
- Reactions to industry trends or news — with a point of view
- Short frameworks or principles coaches and clinicians can actually use
- Clear explanations of why certain approaches matter
Formats may include:
- Written LinkedIn posts
- Short-form video scripts (footage provided when available)
- Adaptations for Instagram/TikTok using the same core idea
The goal is trust and conversation, not volume or virality.
Who This Role Is For
You’re likely a strong fit if you:
- Have experience in or around sports performance, rehab, or applied sport
- Can translate technical concepts into clear, credible language
- Are comfortable expressing informed opinions
- Understand the performance ↔ rehabilitation continuum
- Prefer depth over marketing polish
Backgrounds that tend to work well:
- Strength & Conditioning
- Sports Science / Applied Performance
- Athletic Training or Physical Therapy
- Performance consulting
- Rehab–performance crossover roles
- Certifications (CSCS, ATC, PT/DPT, SCS, RSCC) are a plus, but not required.
Not a Fit If You Primarily Do:
- Generic LinkedIn ghostwriting or personal branding
- SEO blogs or website copy
- Influencer or fitness-motivation content
- Youth / K–12 / PE programming
- Trend-based social media posting
We’re building credibility with experts, not mass audiences.
- Engagement
- Contract, ongoing
- Weekly deliverables
- Competitive pay based on experience and thinking quality
- Opportunity to expand scope if the fit is strong
