Power/mation is searching for Technical Sales Associates in our St Paul, MN office.
Responsibilities
Individuals in the Technical Sales Associate role are viewed as Power/mation's future technical sales engineers (Account Representatives). As a Technical Sales Associate you are a vital and highly valued member of the Power/mation Team.
- Expand knowledge of Power/mation products and technologies
- Develop and demonstrate technical sales and customer support competencies
- Develop a strong understanding of the capabilities of the Power/mation Solutions Group
- Support the Sales efforts by making customer visits with our technical sales engineers (Account Representatives) or Automation Specialists.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of customer needs assessments and application solutions
Timeline
The 18-Month Technical Sales Associate training program is designed to develop those skills and knowledge required to be a successful technical sales engineer (Account Representative). You will develop extensive knowledge in all areas of customer servicing roles including the following:
- Inside Sales/Quotations
- Order Entry
- Business Development
- Power/mation Solutions Group (Engineering)
- Account Representatives
Qualifications
- Students shall be pursuing an Engineering degree or degree related to factory automation. We will accept candidates from Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering programs.
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Strong technical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to handle multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
